Islands in Rayong
Rayong is about 180 km south east of Bangkok,Thailand and easily accessible from Pattaya - about 80 km
Being on a seaside location, the province is famed for its seafood products and is also well known for its tropical fruits such as rambutan, mangosteen and durian.
Rayong is known for its fishing villages that are far less developed than the coastal villages near Pattaya, it is truly a haven for visitors seeking rest and relaxation at one of the many fine beaches.

Ko Samed is essentially an island getaway, ideal for those who simply want to relax and forget the rest of the world for a while. The secluded bays with their glistening white sand which squelches underfoot like freshly fallen snow are still to be found dotted along the island's east coast, while the hilly interior offers a tropical jungle experience. The island is about 6 km long and some 131 sq.km in area.

Koh Chang ( Elephant Island in Thailand) is ringed with small bay and beaches, among them Ao Khlong Son, Hat Sai Khao ( White Sand Beach], Hat Khlong Phrao, Hat Kaibae, Ao Bang Bao, and Ao Salak Phet. Near each of these beaches are small villages. A combination of steep terrain and year-round streams creates several scenic waterfalls.
How to get there - as yet there is no Airport
Air - conditioned buses leave for Trat from the Eastern Bus Terminal at Ekamai, on Sukhumvit Road. The trip takes five hours. Trat is 315 kilometres from Bangkok.  From Trat bus terminal in Muang district, take a minibus to the ferry at Laem Ngop.  The fare is 20 baht but a private service is available at around 100 baht.  Koh Chang Ferry Leaves Centrepoint Pier and Ferry Koh Chang leaves Ao Thammachat Pier. Koh Chang Ferry charges 50 baht each and 40 baht for return trip.  Ferry Koh Chang charges 30 baht per trip.
