Accommodations in Chaing Mai - Sightseeing Tours
Chiang Mai, in northern
Thailand - a region of forested hills and fertile valleys, presents an enchanting contrast
to Bangkok and the Central Plains. Although less than an hour's flight from Bangkok, the
North is a land apart, with its own history and a distinct culture proudly preserved. Here
are ancient towns, founded long before Bangkok. Here, too, are breath-taking landscapes
peopled by colourful hill-tribes that continue to preserve largely independent lifestyles.

The famous Night Bazaar - which offers Thai and Northern Thai
clothes and fabrics, crafts, jewelry and antiques. Bor Sang
- is famous for umbrella making and the main road in the village is lined with shops
displaying colourful umbrellas. Sankampaeng - wood craving, silver and
ceramics making are among noted handicrafts. Doi Suthep - at its peak is
one of the most revered temples in the region, complemented by magnificent views of Chiang
Mai valley.
