Most Thai fruits are not only seasonal but also regional. In northern Thailand, for example, where the climate is more temperate than Bangkok and the south, fruits familiar to western eyes are cultivated. Among them are apples and strawberries, though far more common and loved by all are lychees, longans, pineapples and mangoes.
As a final note, visitors are recommended to order at least once a plate of fresh fruits in season to round off a great Thai dining experience. This will provide you some of the most exotic fruit tastes and flavours you're ever likely to come across.

Pineapples
Thailand is one of the world’s leading exporters of pineapples, both fresh and canned and thus, one of the country’s major sources of foreign exchange. "Smooth Cayenne" grown mainly in Petchburi and Prachuab Khiri Khan provinces in the West, and in Chonburi and Rayong provinces in the East, is the main variety exported
In fact, it is said those grown in other areas are not as delicious as those grown in Chonburi and Rayong. Don't fail to sample the golden, luscious fruits which the' eastern region is so proud of, it's one of the sweetest surprises literally-in Thailand.

Thailand is home to many varieties of mango. The Nam Dok Mai and Ok Rong varieties, are an all -time favourite A heavenly treat when eaten ripe with sticky rice and coconut cream.

Papaya
Main ingredient of “Sohm-Tumm”, spicy green papaya salad. Ripened fruit should be eaten with fresh lime squeezed on top.

Durian is grown in abundance in the East and South, and although there are many different varieties, Morn Thong, Kan Yao, and Chanee are the most famous.

Watermelon

Rambutan

Jackfruit
A sweet yellow fruit covered, with a thick skin. Enormous in size.

Pomelo
Pomelo, which is a larger version of the grapefruit. Sweet and tangy, Pomelo can be enjoyed as a salad
