Calypso Cabaret
Now
in its 10th year, Calypso Cabaret at The Asia Hotel still lures visitors with its
dazzling, high style performances. Seating in a
classic, lamp-lit cabaret table for four as part of the audience, up to 350 people, who
languish in subdued light, half circling the shinny jet-black stage, you are taken to a
roller-coaster show that combines the elements of Broadway, Parisian revues, and other
international stage shows perform by Thai transvestites. And, once the show
finishes, members of the audiences always enjoyed having their pictures taken with these
actors to keep as a cherished souvenir. The Calypso Cabaret shows can be
enjoyed twice daily at 8:15 and 9:45 p.m.
