Calypso Cabaret
Now in its 10th year, Calypso Cabaret at The Asia Hotel still lures visitors with its dazzling, high style  performances. Seating in a classic, lamp-lit cabaret table for four as part of the audience, up to 350 people, who languish in subdued light, half circling the shinny jet-black stage, you are taken to a roller-coaster show that combines the elements of Broadway, Parisian revues, and other international stage shows perform by Thai transvestites. And, once the show finishes, members of the audiences always enjoyed having their pictures taken with these actors to keep as a cherished souvenir. The Calypso Cabaret shows can be enjoyed twice daily at 8:15 and 9:45 p.m.

Silom Village
Sampling Thai cuisine is one activity that all foreigners should not miss. In Silom, that means going to Silom Village. This renowed Thai restaurant has been serving superb original Thai dishes for two decades  It has a very Thai setting for 500 guests (the capacity) to basked in during their meals.
Dining in the moonlight is never more romantic at its open-air Thai antique houses, called "RongChang" or at the air-conditioned room called "Reun Thep" (where the khantoke way of dining from Northern Thailand is the highlight).
All dishes are as authentic as Thai can be, cooked from original Thai recipes. Demonstrations of Thai dessert preparation and Thai cooking are also held for tourists. You can even try your hand at cooking !
And for a more pleasurable Thai experience, traditional Thai songs are played throughout the dinner, by live band. Impressive interludes can be the dazzling Thai classical dance or the mask dance (Khon) shown nightly at "Rong Chang" (8 p.m.) and "Ruen Thep" (8:30 p.m.)
It's open daily from 11 a.m. to 11p.m.
